Andreeva living a charmed life in Madrid

Mirra Andreeva’s hot streak in Madrid was extended on Saturday as the newest member of the ranking top 10 powered into the fourth round of the Masters event 7-5, 6-3 over Pole Magdalena Frech.

The teenaged winner ranked seventh after back-to-back 1000-level titles in Dubai and Indian Wells, is into the last 16 here for a third consecutive edition.The 17-year-old prodigy came through in an hour and three-quarters in the clay of the Caja Magica, 

“I was very, very nervous. I still struggle to find my best tennis in Madrid,” the winner said.  “(But I’m) super happy that played consistent throughout the whole match.”

Andreeva advanced with 31 winners as she defeated Frech for the second time this season after an Australian Open third-round success.
