Djoko surfaces at Qatar GP to flog fitness device
Novak Djokovic popped up at the Qatar GP weekend, with the former tennis No. 1 fulfilling his role as brand ambassador for a pricey fitness gadget.
The 38-year-old has been linked for years with the Regeneris recovery pod, which he credits with contributing to his career longevity.
The self-contained capsule rents for USD 150,000 for a five-year lease; Djokovic said he has had a long and successful association with the high-tech chamber, which he has used in the past during the US Open while staying at a millionaire’s complex in the area.
The long-time gluten-free player and all-around fitness disciple made a pit lan presentation for the product, designed to enhance recovery and optimise performance for athletes.
Djokovic counts race sponsor Qatar Airways as one of his many sponsors and serves as the company’s global brand ambassador.
Djokovic praised the recovery pod during a 2024 interview: “It’s basically a recovery pod. It is a culmination or combination of the technologies, leading edge technologies for wellness that is out there that I have been using for my career the last 15 years or so.”
