Djokovic dissed by Centre Court rowdies

Novak Djokovic on Monday lashed back at rowdy Centre Court fans who jeered him during a comprehensive 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 beatdown of Dane Holger Rune to reach a 15th quarter-final at Wimbledon.

The Serb who has always been an acquired taste, is the last real remaining member of the famed Big 4 players still standing.

And as such, he must have felt the heat of booing from what appeared to be supporters of Rune.

During his post-match interview, Djokovic let rip, saying thanks to the “respectful” fans but giving the rest a taste of his temper.

“Thanks to those who respect the sport, but I don’t accept (jeers) from other using the excuse to boo.

“I’ve been on the Tour for 20 years, I know all the tricks – but it’s OK.

“I focus on the respectful people and ignore the others.

“I’ve played in much more hostile atmosphere than this – you guys can’t touch me,” he told the crowd.
