“Excited” Murray to coach arch rival  Djokovic

Recently retired three time Grand Slam  Champion Andy Murray has shocked the Tennis world by announcing today that he will  coach Novak Djokovic  as he chases his 25th Grand Slam victory and his 11th Australian Open title in Melbourne in January 2025.

Four of Djokovic’s  victories  have come against Murray.

Both are 37 years old.

The legendary Serb finally got his hands on singles Olympic gold for the first time in last summer’s Paris Games, as andy Murray retired.

Whilst the Scot  was anticipated to get into coaching at  some stage he has surprised the tennis by teaming up with Djokovic, the current World # 7 so soon after retiring.

Murray said today “I’m going to be joining Novak’s team in the off season, helping him to prepare for the Australian Open,

“I’m really excited for it and looking forward to spending time on the same side of the net as Novak for a change, helping him to achieve his goals.”
