French Open 2025 Men’s Day 6
Lorenzo Musetti, semi-finalist this month at home in Rome, reached the Roland Garros fourth round for the third time since 2021 with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 fightback over Argentine Mariano Navone on Friday.
The recent addition to the ranking top 10 at seventh in the world, said he is getting accustomed to his new status.
“I feel it in a positive way. I am approaching the tournaments with happy and proud vibes.
“It’s the biggest achievement that I reached at the moment of my career. Seventh position in the world.
“I’ve had many, many great, great results this month. So of course I feel in a good shape, in the best period of my life.
“I have also to take all this stuff and try to enjoy when I’m stepping on court. That’s what I’m trying to do.”
Dane Holger Rune claimed a marathon win after three and a quarter hours, defeating Quentin Halys 4-6, 6-2, 5-7, 7-5, 6-2, absorbing 13 aces from his French opponent.

“Every time I play Quentin, it’s a big battle. Last year in Wimbledon, I was two sets to love down,” Rune said.
“Had to dig deep, find a way. Conditions today were good for him. It was very warm.
“The ball was flying fast through the air. It was difficult to break him, and at the end I just played much more freely and tried to go for my shots.”
US 12th seed Tommy Paul won his second straight five-setter, his 200th career win, spending just over four hours in defeating Karen Khachanov 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (7), 3-6, 6-3.
Alexei Popyrin continued to set a personal Paris best, reaching the last 16 for the first time.
The Australian had lost in the first round at five consecutive editions before breaking through this week.
