Injury-plagued Draper give up on London exho payday

Injury victim Jack Draper on Monday with drew from a weekend exhibition event in London with his arm injury still a problem heading toward the 2026 season.

The Briton who ranked 10th despite not competing since late August when he handed in a US Open second-round walkover, 

British no. 1 Draper was replaced at the UTS event from Friday by Frenchman Ugo Humbert.

Draper has been thwarted several times as he attempt to make it back onto the ATP circuit.

I’ve been working hard to be back for UTS in London but frustratingly I’m just not quite ready,” he said. 

“It’s a tough call as at this point I want nothing more than to get out there and compete but I’ve been advised to take more time.

“I’m sorry to let down fans and miss out on this event 😢”

The Grand Final of the echo series includes defending champion and World No.7 Alex De Minaur, Andrey Rublev, Tomas Machac, Casper Ruud, Francisco Cerundolo, David Goffin and Adrian Mannarino.
