Veteran Andy Murray is testing all options as the veteran prepares for his fifth and final Olympics, with an emphasis on making an impression in doubles when the Games begin next month in Paris.

The 37-year-old is hoping to wind down his Wimbledon career by playing alongside elder brother Jamie in SW19, but is testing the waters with a set of pick-em  pairings at the run-up events to the Games.

He is due to compete this week at Queen’s Club, London in doubles with Dan Evans.

After being named at the weekend to the British Olympic team for a final time, the two-time gold medalist confessed that he cannot be sure to be fit for the big week in late July.

“I’m not 100 per cent sure. It depends a little bit physically how I’m doing and a bit how the next few weeks go as well.

“But my plan just now is to play but it’s not straightforward.”

The former No. 1 and three-time Grand Slam winner added: “I’ve really enjoyed playing the Olympics over the years and the chance to play in another one,

“I’m excited about that. Obviously find out in the next 10 days or so on the doubles what’s going to happen though but hopefully me and Evo get the chance to play.”
