Sabalenka eases Open pain with stroll down the runway
Aryna Sabalenka took some of the sting out of her US Open finals loss to Elena Rybakina by playing the role of fashion model at an event held by her sponsor Gucci.
Sabalenka not only lost in her attempt at a third consecutive New York trophy but also dropped to second in the world after sitting on the top ranking spot for 99 weeks.
She took a spin down the ilan runway at Vogue World: Milano, stepping into the role of model for perhaps the first time.
“What a dream to walk the Milan runway in @gucci. Thank you @voguemagazine for inviting me,” she posted on social media.

Sabalenka has called considerably from her finals loss, where she silently smashed a racquet in frustration and swore at a sideline cameraman as he zoomed in on her following the finals defeat.
